Boxes and Denmark

Why are the Danes so good with colorful boxes? Two of the nicest sites that sell boxes are danish, first one that probably most know about is House Doctor, I just love their whole catalogue, they don't sell directly from the web but through different dealers, I tried to find some of their more colorful stuff in our nearest 'shabby chic' shop but they wouldnt take it in.

Finally some inspiration from a lovely fabric shop called Stoff & Stil, I was planning to buy lots of fabric and make colorful pillows for our sofa, just havent really managed to get that far yet. Strange that. I have designated a room for the sewing machine and everything is ready for me to get started. I have only managed to make some curtains yet (in the easiest possible way). Oh - and I when I saw the picture with the deck chairs I remembered that I actually did that! I painted the old ones inherited from my grandma white and stapled on a red and white striped fabric! At least one of them is comfortable;)

Pukka

I had so much fun setting up my new blog but I'll finish for today with a nice cup of Pukka tea, lovely package and lovely tea! I spent the whole evening finding inspiring blogs that I wanted to have as my favourites - some old some new that I just found. It is easier to check for updates when I have them on the side of my blog. I'm not sure if I will write the blog in norwegian or english, probably a bit of both! :)

Har tenkt å prøve å lage grafiske trykk i år, utstyr er bestilt og nyttårsforsettet er herved offisielt :) Her er litt ting som inspirerte meg:

Syns det var ein god ide med disse 'bookplates', det er meininga ein skal lime dei fast i permen på boka med navnet til eigaren, ex libris: "from the library of". Ellers er jo ein enklare vri å lage vanlige bokmerker, kanskje lage et trykk med grafisk mønster og etterpå bruke vannmaling for å gjere dei personlige? Gift ideas :)

Ein anna ting eg skal gjere er å lage et svart stilisert familietre, skal lage fleire og personalisere dei for meg og mine kjære! Gleder meg til å begynne på prosjektet! Må berre finne igjen arket der eg hadde alle tipp-oldeforeldre mine..

Den første dagen i et nytt år! Et blankt lerret som kan fylles med det man vil - derfor oppretter eg ein ny blogg. Eg liker å være organisert og strukturert (til en viss grad) - sortere ting etter funksjon. Denne bloggen skal være for inspirerende ideer og fine ting! Mest for meg sjølv men kanskje også litt for andre :)

The first day of a new year! A blank canvas to be filled with whatever one wants - this is why I am creating a new blog. I like beeing organized and structured (up to a certain point..) My real life and my online life are separated in different shelfs after type and areas. Some will only meet the professional me (xls and processes) others the different side that get's excited by great design and beatiful things. This blog will be for the 'visual and what inspire me' side of me.
